Lone
Star Shoot-Out and Junior Jam Overview
The first of its kind in the Southwest, the Lone Star Shoot-Out
provides elite, select and highly competitive school teams from all over the country a fall tournament with
unique features. First, the tournament is held in Dallas,
one of the fastest growing lacrosse markets in the country and only 3
hours by air from each coast. Dallas provides a great central
destination for teams and their family members alike. Next, the tournament is played on a first
class complex -
High Point Sports Park
- with all tournament fields
on one location, thus making it easy for families with multiple kids
participating.
The Lone Star Shoot-Out provides teams with a rare full field, 10
vs. 10 fall tournament with 5 games guaranteed and a Championship
Sunday for the top two teams in each division or the older
divisions and 3 games plus one for the younger age groups.
But one of
the most unique features of the tournament is the match ups - East vs. West. The tournament committee will structure the
pools so that teams from the East will be matched against teams from the
West (Long Island vs. Nor Cal). Invitations will go out to teams from
California to Maine to create the widest variety of teams at any
tournament. And once the brackets are formed, Sunday's
championship is all about bragging rights. Who will win - East or
West!
All in all, the Lone Star Shoot-Out will quickly become the fall
tournament that all the Elite Boys teams will want to attend.
